In November, I ordered a Leisure Handsewn loafer in Ravello, using the Aberdeen last. Like this, but slightly elongated-

Well, I finally get a call that it is in and go pick it up. It looks like I have been sent a split toe similar to:

It is not what i ordered, but I actually like it, and that is not the problem. The problems are twofold. Alden has been sloppy in using the black sole dressing, splashing black on the upper. Can this be removed? Specifically without darkening the beautiful ravello color?
The other problem is that there is a small rough area on the side of the upper about an eighth of an inch wide and half an inch long. They are going to try to buff this out.
To the credit of the store I purchased the shoes, they are going to give me a $150 store credit(which I will easily use). I hope Alden can clean this up. I'd hate to have to wait another 6 months!
