I saw that Luk-cha started a thread 5 years ago looking for medallion designs.

Most of the links have since expired so I thought it might be a good time to resurrect the idea.

I'm looking for inspiration for the medallion on a pair of bespoke Adelaides and a pair of Derbys.

I know there must be lots of you out there with unique medallions in your shoe collections, now's your chance to post them!

Here's one from Leffot to get us started:

And another from G&G - The Hughes

Here is another one, strictly for DIY fans:

Put it on the photocopier and scale it down until you got the size right.

I am a direct descendant of William the Conqueror, and I use his heraldic symbols on the medallions of my $10,000-a-foot cordwainery.

Cower before me, ye peasants and swine, lest I use your skins to make my shitkickers.

Every six months I'm reminded that I should take these out of the box and wear them for the first time. That shot is as good as they look - top down they're blobby.

Awesome pictures so far !

I think the Darlton's medallion might actually be slightly nicer than the EG thistle.
I'm definitely edging towards something like that for the Derby. I like how the design elongates and spreads as opposed to remining blobby.

The Lobb medallion is very simple. Definitely a more elegant way of carrying off a star than this:

Which upper management genius authorised the dick and balls design? Does anybody own these and get comments from people?

I really like your DIY contribution Bengal, did you create this for your shoemaker or did you go fully DIY and punch the holes yourself?

I'd really like to hear more about how you went about designing the pattern, picking the size of the holes etc.

As for the person who mentioned Barker Blacks. They have a unique design but to apply it to a non-Barker Black shoe, would be like having a bespoke shirt made and requesting that your monogram look like a polo player riding a horse.
