Yah, Nolan is only doing a trilogy. Most insiders has also stated that the script pretty much ties everything up together to a close. They'll probably leave it open in the end where a new director can continue to make more Batman films but the whole story Nolan plans to tell wraps up in this one.

i looked up conroy and i disagree. Some fans have tried to dub his voice over clips of live action Batman movies and it simply does not work. Too campy, with no cross over appeal to mainstream audiences or the direction of the movie. If the Nolan series was trying to appeal to prepubescent boys or something, then sure.

Joel Schumacher is salivating.

I re-watched "The Professional" recently, and I have to believe that Ledger borrowed heavily from Oldman's character for his Joker.

Oldman is one of his acting idols (DDL was the other). I believe it was Oldman's Sid that he noted as his favourite performance. This is one of the reasons why I've said Oldman should have been The Joker. He wouldn't be watching tapes of himself. He'd completely reinvent the character. He'd set a new benchmark. It's a shame he hasn't done anything "˜meaty' in many, many years. The Joker would have been his greatest role.

Just went over Batman and Robin. What the heck were they thinking? They had great production value, a good cast, and they turned this in? I love how they rationalise it all in the extras. Joel Schumacher almost had me believing he did the best with what he had at his disposal. Still, it's not as bad as the score on IMDB suggests.

Joel Schumacher and his love for the campy Batman series and comics that were out at that time (he grew up with the campy Batman comic book series - before Frank Miller swooped in and turned it dark again). That movie was an abomination. I used to own it on VHS when it first came out. As I got older, I tossed it. I refuse to watch that movie.

What people seem to forget is that it was a kid's movie designed to sell toys. I watched it the other day and I thought it was fun and campy.

He said that he wants to do more conventional roles in this stage of his career. He is my favorite actor and I love him in his wacky parts, but as you get older its hard to create such insane performances.

Watched State of Grace a few days ago; he is amazing in it.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has signed his deal to star, and Juno Temple (Cracks) is being eyed for a supporting role as a street-smart Gotham girl in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, reports Variety.

Gordon-Levitt's part is still being kept under wraps, writes the trade.

They are joining a cast that includes Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway. Warner Bros. has set a release date of July 20, 2012.

I really hope he isn't Robin. To me Robin always ruins Batman.
