Today - Fahrenheit 32 - Really nice! Vanilla + orange actually helps round out the original, which I find a little too raw

today - Silver Scent by Bogard from a sample. blech. citrus, herbs, chemicals, and vanilla. My consolation with blind testing is it usually dies off quickly but this one is rather persistent.

PS - guys, if anyone is interested in some of the ELDO (Etat Libre D'Orange) frags, i can get a few of the bottles for a good price... details here. let me know asap and if you're interested I'll cut you a better deal as SF my e-buddies.

Fo real? PM sent.

^^ if you have Guerlains Vetiver in a clear non-frosted bottle then I think that's the EdC version, maybe the Extreme? Or if it's the non-ridged bottle, just a hard square with a square inset like the HR bottle if it's the one I'm picturing, then you probably have some vintage juice. Harder to find but still out there.

Their website has a store-finder, but nothing listed for Boston.

Frog - BTW have you been to Colonial Drug ever? They've got a good selection of frags as well as shaving gear.

Is that the one in Harvard Sq? I was there about a week ago with my friends.. a LOT of shaving products, after-shave, etc.

Very manly store.. but the one I went to did not have many frags.. none of the niche or designer labels, at least.

Its probably easier to just order the samples from Aedes. You get 7 samples for $14 shipped.

I personally don't find them that similar. I find the Clive Christian to be much more complex and stronger. IIRC, it has a strong clove note that's interesting. I find Tuscan Leather to be a simple sweetish warm leather. Personally, I don't really get the popularity of TL here, but I digress. I'd consider a small bottle/decant of Clive Christian if it were in the $100-$200/100ml price range, but given its gazillion dollar price tag that even makes Tom Ford look cheap, it isn't worth it for me.

and HdP 1725 today is the SOTD.
