Ok, question for those here as I like boutique hotels too. I'm currently booked for 3 nights in Feb at Wynn but for about $50 more a night could stay at Mandarin Oriental. Or should I consider Cosmopolitan?
Are you factoring in the $20 resort fee at the Wynn too? If not, for $30 more I'd stay at the MO no question. Warning: MO charges $30/nt for valet which is insane in LAS.
So really the Wynn is $60 less, not $50 less
hi guys, yea I was factoring in the resort fee at Wynn and I'm not driving so no valet. MO is $45 more per night, I'm leaning that direction but I'm a little worried that the hotel might be a bit boring.
Well - the great thing about LAS is that you are never more than a few steps from exciting... boring is the hot commodity.

MO is basically a *** shot distance away from Aria and Cosmopolitan, which are the two newest places on the strip and probably the least tacky. I wouldn't quite say it's boring, and can give you a certain level of tranquility that probably no where else can offer. It is definitely going to be my place to stay next time I go.
thanks bud. Can you recommend some restaurants for me?
What kind of food do you like?
I really appreciate nice restaurants. I go to NY a lot and try and eat at new spots or micelin starred restaurants. I just came back from LA and ate at Animal s well as Osteria Mozza. In LV I've be at l'atelier, craftsteak, cut, ect; but I'm not too familiar with teh citycenter restaurants.
I wouldn't bother with Craftsteak or Cut... they're just generic steak houses.
I wanted to go to Alex but I think it's closed now. it will be for sue when I get there in Feb.
