They all need to go, TB.

You should start with simple solids (navy and brown) and build from there. Your grenadines are a good start. Take a look at the soporific tie thread and you'll get some good ideas.

Here's its first (and perhaps only) appearance in WAYWRN.

Thanks for all the replies on that last set, guys. My tie rack just got a lot lighter.

That actually looks good.

You know, there's a post of nice ties in this thread that you could almost exclusively wear and toss all the others. I think I may have 15-20 ties and it's a misconception that one needs 50+ ties or whatever.

I don't know. I think everything in the picture above ruins that suit.

You're a complicated and surprising man, NORE.

By the time this project is completed I hope to have a harem of 20-30 faithful and bulletproof ties.

As promised TB: I have rotated out a bunch of ties, some sold, many given away. If it doesn't get worn it goes. Sorry for the rushed pics and quickie knots... First the dots:

Then the patterns:

Finally the solids:

All of the ties are thick, Made in either Italy or England and averaged $20 each at either B&S here, Century21, SYMS or eBay. Let me know if you need deets on any specific tie. I'm always on the lookout for new ties according to the kick I'm on ATM so I suspect some solid Grenadines, linens and wool ties to come.

Even with my highly ecumenical tie taste, I would only keep the far left one in the first batch of these two selections.

Keep #1 (the leftmost). You could pair it with a slightly louder shirt or suit and get away fine. The others are in color combos that aren't eye pleasing.

First, let me say that I'm really surprised at how bright and busy your patterned ties are. I was expecting them to be more conservative.

Second, I love your collection of dots and am especially curious how you wear the last one on the right in the first picture. Do you have any pics of that one in the wild? Same question for the 3rd one from the left in your patterned collection.
