I'm still down south but my female proxy should be there. I'd be down to save some more lives if I could, though. Last time was a blast. J's also out of town this weekend, too. You know, FYI in case you wanted to swing by his house and snatch up all his sweet gear. Love/hate relationship with that place. I can't recommend it 100% because it's almost always packed and not everything on the menu is great. And now with the bar (which a friend who works there says makes great drinks), it'll be even more of a zoo. I also love some of their baked goods but then it's not Alcove that bakes them. I usually tell people to go across the street to Mustard Seed (even though the service blows) or down the street to Home for a solid meal.
little dom's is at least nine times better than alcove. i kind of have a love/hate relationship with Hillhurst in general, minus Yuca's, McCall's Meat & Fish, and my doctor's office.
The diner from pulp fiction is on Hawthorne Blvd in Lennox BTW, it has changed a few times.
Apparently there's some place in LA that makes a reuben sandwich with Latkes instead of bread. Has anyone experienced this phenomenon? I was informed of it and intrigued instantly.
Okay so I'm hitting up Bottega Louie for my birthday on saturday with family. However they don't reservations. Ideas? Also, any recs on what to order for those have been there ( Jet, kelv, I'm assuming)?
Looks like Golden State. Bomb.
