George and Ringo are my favorite Beatles.

George just seemed cool. If you judge the man by his publicly known friends, he's definitely the coolest Beatle.

Tom Petty, Eric Clapton, Eric Idle and others.

Agreed, and I think he has awesome solo work too, I always feel like his stuff is overlooked...

I don't know if they were friends since George was ******* Eric's wife at the time.
