Mr. Voxx, just had this thought. If you could get Edwin and Foo together, the synergy would benefit all.

Stweed in the city.com

This has potential.

Stweed's view of the city.com 2nd choice

Just in today...Steed 3 roll 2.5 jacket, three patch out pockets in an old A&S style, and swelled edges. For those of you who care, this is the model with the front cut and the new, slightly curvier cutaway/fronts/quarters. The jacket is done up in Scabal 12oz 2-ply "faux" tweed, the brown version of which some of you have seen on me from the MBT™ and on Manton from one of his guys.

[click pic for supersize if you wish]

I do not believe Scabal offers this fabric anymore, so if you want it, pray that your tailor inventories whole bolts.

I don't think there is anything faux about the tweed, it's just machine loomed but it's real tweed. A purist could say that a true Shetland is always handmade but that stuff is not strong. And I don't just mean the Breamish, even the W. Bill hand loomed Shetlands are 2x1 and very loose. The Scabal stuff is much sturdier (as well as 2x2) but still wears soft.

New for me, old (pre-1980s) for A&S: smaller, more compound curves and rounded edges, with the hip pockets up off more from the hem.

This jacket turned out so well that we redid the patch pockets this way on my older numbers, which I also got back today.

Coat > on > rotunda > camera > picture > post > praise > FNB.com > backlash. You know the drill.

Great belly on that lapel. I was just thinking the other day how I'd like for Chan to incorporate some belly Chan into my W. Bill tweed I'm having them make up in Hong Kong this week when I'm there.
