She's not the typical girl he's used to messing around with. His drunken fail at the awards has pretty much sealed his fate with the good Dr, IMO. He had a good chance when they shared the Saki, and she opened up to him.
I'm sure they are going to still work together. We'll see how they progress the relationship.
