However, isn't it easier to play souch a terrible person as a character? She adds no complexity to Betty. With Don, though I think he's contemptible (if you didn't notice) he's still a very compelling and I enjoy seeing him on screen. Since season 1, I can't say the same about Betty.

I guess you could blame it on the writers too, though.

I couldn't disagree more--JJ brings a lot of complexity to Betty. The character's inward nature presents a challenge and requires a lot of nuance. There's a sense of tension when Betty is onscreen that I think derives from Jones' portrayal of the internal struggles she's having.

Anyway, I know most people disagree and think January Jones is terrible. She may be a one-dimensional actor as far as I know, but to me she's very good at that one dimension.

i think she's very hot for an actress, and I'll venture to guess she has a nice smelling and contained ***** with no lips exposed.

maybe it's the fact that no matter the context, she now seems like a huge ***** who everyone hates haha

About the random dood...don't forget that last kid is probably not Don's.

IIRC he is Don's...it's supposed to be his kid from when they had sex while visiting her parents or something. Only after she knows she's pregnant she has sex with the guy in the bar. I think.

I've read elsewhere that Mathew Weiner has said that it is Don's child.

Does anyone else think Dr. Miller is Congressman Miller's daughter, the one who wants to run for president? I looked the name up and he ends up being Goldwater's VP candidate in the 68 election which fits in right.

Hopefully he will get his swagger back.

My hat's off to correct predictions. Add to that the one about how Joan will crush Joey -- she would have if Peggy hadn't gotten in the way.

Anyone know what Draper's journaling was about? My wife was talking non-stop, so some of the more subtle stuff was missed.

What's up with him "running a candy store," then? A euphemism?

Does anyone have that quote that Don says about a man near the end?

I love the self-conscious journal writing. Great tool to see inside Don Draper. This was another very good episode, if a little less focused on the business.
