IST - this is one of your few fits i dont think works. the jacket has a casual vibe ... and so the tie throws it off. Then there is the matter of the clashing of the colors.

Well perhaps, but as you will see from this quote from the A&S expat thread, it one of my exceptions:

"I will not buy anything which forces me to walk around and advertise a logo (apart from some Hermes ties, with very discreet H pattern, anyway my initials are HH) the extreme eksample of this is the wonderfull Louis Vuitton trunk, which I have covered with newspaper, glued and laquered on! I dislike the logo and it is a dead ringer for thieves when travelling of course"
