GT3 RS, and never ever ever think about removing the graphics again.
GT3RS, no doubt, but in this 'new' economy trying to hold onto a car as an investment is a fool's game. If you're worried about depreciation, pick up a used 360CS or something. New Porsches tank like a BRICK the second they're driven off the lot. I suspect this has something to do with the outrageous price for various options. I've seen regular 997's spec'd out to well over $130k.
Any certain paint schemes I should go for or avoid?
Factory spec tires on a Cayanne get 8-12K, that's it. Maybe a tad more if you are mostly freeway driving. These aren't typical SUV paws, They are performance tires. The feel and handling is awesome but there is a tradeoff, they are expensive and they wear out.
Yet you like piss yellow..
Seriously, and interlagos is terrible in sunlight. Lemans ***** on it pretty much.
I have a 2004 Cayanne S. It has 56K on the odometer and is in the shop today for a new starter. $2200. Just put in a new fuel pump and major service 2 weeks ago $ $1900 and it had a radiator problem 6 months ago at $1800 and tires $1495. (needs a new set every 10K). I'm thinking about something a little less needy........
I had a 2006 Cayenne S and the oil change was $900.
Honestly, if you're going to drop $150k on a GT3RS for a weekend toy, why not drop the same amount of money on a CS? At least the CS isn't going to lose 30% of it's value over the next year. And, well, it's a bloody 360CS!
I personally don't find Porsche's appealing but if you want one go ahead and drive it into the ground. To hell with buying one as an "investment."
wtf? Never buy a car as an investment.
