But the thing is it IS that bad. The quality is awful. Sweaters pill like they're racing toward non-wearability.
Yes that's it, I secretly like banana republic we've some some regular ol freuds in here. jarude why don't you piss off to honestforum if you like swinging from banana nuts all day? BB1 I think you have a crush on BR like these idiots seem to think.
Disagree. Of all the reasons to hate BR, of which there are many, quality is stretching it. Quality on the knits is no different than middling designerish **** (APC, rag and bone and the like). Wouldn't surprise me if they all came from the same factory. BR and Gap quality is way better than H&M and the like b/c the types of middling Americans who shop at BR expect their clothes to last a few seasons.
rag and bone's knits are made in China. And I may be displaying my age, but "made in America" is not a synonym for quality despite the contentions of certain bloggers.
Before joining SF, I used to shop almost exclusively at BR. I'll agree that the designs really haven't changed in years, and I have grown to truly despise half-zip sweaters. Yes, the colors have gotten worse, too. A quick look through the website and I can't see anything that sets it apart from JC Penney. The slim fit shirts fit well, but honestly, the materials suck. I can remember several shirts looking horrible after one or two washes.
