So I'm bidding on something for eBay, and the starting bid is $.01, with a reserve, and I'm sort of confused on what to do. I don't think anyone will bid against me, but I'm the highest bidder at a penny, even though the reserve (and my "maximum bid") is way higher.

Is there anyway to bid a number over the reserve as my actual bid? As it stands now if it were to end, I would lose, since my bid was $0.01, and below the reserve, right?

You can keep bidding until your bid is actually what the reserve is.

Reserves are marsupialed, by the way. I avoid them almost always on principle on alone. If you want a certain price for it, START it at that price. If you can't get that, then face reality and lower your expectations.

I build my whole wardrobe this year, including shoes/boots. Don't want to think about it.

Ive built my wardrobe this year, and before this year I didn't give a **** about clothes at all. I didn't even know the different types of shirt weaves, had never seen a button down collar, wore mom jeans by bluenotes and other crappy stores for 10$, and nike running shoes. Its been progress, but I can safely say I have wasted around 40% of my money on mistakes. A lot of which were spent tailoring old crappy clothing I'm not even going to wear now.
