I just bought this exact boot at the recent Saks Fifth Avenue sale. I'm normally not a boot guy, but these are outstanding. I'm really enjoying them.

I also bought the same boot...and will likely return it. It didnt do anything for me.....and its looks awesome!!

How dark is 'dark brown'? I wouldn't say numbers four and five are dark brown. Anything lighter and it's 'tan' - I'd call 4 & 5 mid-brown.

I don't know. They . . . just don't do anything for me. I'm sure they're built like a brick shithouse (that's a compliment).

i admit, i didn't get the irony of the rockport statement.

btw, these are not mine. they are to small for me. i need more width. i cannot wear shoes built on "sleek" lasts.

yes, they have a solid construction and the leather is excellent. they have an elegant and discreet overall appearance.
