1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

No pictures, I am too lazy to search for them right now, but mine would have to be a wingtip. From an early age, I remember just liking the way wingtips looked, particularly the big, solid, thick-soled American wingtips from Alden. If I had to choose just one, that'd be it.

    Thanks.

Keep your eye on shoe porn thread, they appear on there.

This is part of the service that AS are now offering, take a current catalogue model and 'improve it'. I had these made back in June/July. Choice of leather, lining, sole, finish, you name it and they can do it.

There will be pictures of a couple more pairs appearing very soon.....

Dark brown plain-toe derbys are a staple of any wardrobe and are coincidentally my favorite brown shoe style.

If you could have just one dark brown pair (in addition to shoes in other colors), which would it be? Is there a quintessential style for dark brown? Do you just have favorite pair? Pics or links appreciated but not necessary. Thanks.
Most of the shoe photos thus far are exquisite. For me it would be a punch cap Bal or cap double-sole double monk. I am enjoying everyones photos immensely.

I believe it was Doc that said that the RLPL McKay (EG Asquith) in Dk. Oak on the 888 is perhaps the perfect (brown) shoe: http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/8062/12020801pr.jpg

From my collection: These, but in hazel - a redder, richer shade. I'll post pics when they come in.

Since everyone wants brogues, here are my G&G Rothschilds:

From my dreams: the top left here (though I'm surprised that the Dovers aren't getting more love.)
