I'm awaiting a pair of special order Alden brown and snuff specs through LeatherSoul. They should be done sometime in the next few weeks.

I'm very very interested. Can you provide some pixtures?

For a long time the answer was the RL Darlton, but I finally bought a pair.

Actually I've wanted a pair of whiskey cordovan monks for a while, but I don't even think that's something Alden makes (basically the 954 in whiskey).

At any rate, it'll probably be something in a lighter tan color.

C&J Pembroke.

I'm wearing them right now, except mine are by Crockett & Jones for Ralph Lauren and come in the tan pebble grain leather. They were released for a very limited period last fall under the Marlow Wingtip name, but have the pebble grain instead of the cordovan. I absolute <3 mine and wear them probably more often then my 2 pairs of C&J RL Marlow wingtips.

Just so you don't feel so bad, I mis-sized a bit and had to put in insole. But the result is almost a magical/bespoke-like fit!

In progress: bespoke double-monks in black and navy calf.

Next up: a pair of Vass chukkas in black suede.
