Looking at these shoes I wonder why C&J doesn't move their models based on the 348 last to the handgrade line.
A Weymouth on the 348 and Westbourne at handgrade level would be killers.

These are really spectacular...I wish they had broader distribution.

I missed my appt. in Chicago because I was stuck on a SW flight that had mechanical failure. After 4 hours I got off the flight. The next day, I spoke with Tony via phone to place my order. He said that their shoes run similar in size to C&J.

I ordered the Rothschild on the MH71 last in vintage oak only a lighter shade with some burgundy added.

I went down a full size from 11.5D U to 10.5E. Reading through other posts I am wondering if I should only have gone down a half size.

I wear 11.5 D in EG, but 11 E in G&G. FWIW.

If you own and have worn their rtw/mtm/special order shoes, how do you like the fit and cushion vis a vis your considerable collection?

I met with Tony today. I commented that the website is very well done and while the shoes on the website look wonderful, they all look so much better in person. I'm having some Sinatras MTO. September seems such a long way off......

I have two pairs of their RTW shoes, the Hayes and the Grant (see bleow). I find G&Gs fit to be akin to makers with more aggressive lasts like Corthay and Aubercy. They taper quickly toward the toe and while certainly wearable, are not as comforatble as my equally sleek Edward Green lasts. These new models give me a hope that G&G are veering towards serving a more traiditonal customer in both style and fit.

I wonder if a combat boot with dbl sole would look good in black stingray?

I would not wear it with your good pants though, as they would be frayed and destroyed.

The new modles are all MTO/RTW...thus this new side gusset "Chester"

G&G doesn't have any "named" bespoke models

Shoes are 470 pounds (excluding VAT, no shoe trees and doesn't include cost of customs or shipping)
Add about 100 more pounds for boots

Sho-nuff

It should be available through their MTO progam

The Chukka boot itself is called the Arran...and perhaps the alligator leather is available (but at a considerable up charge)
