I think a brown Alden split-toe would look great. Either the all weather walker which has a crepe sole or the vamp calfskin which has a leather sole. They're $425.00 and will last forever.

I know that these might be a bit beyond your means but my Black pair were bought in 85 and still going strong. I am a dealer and have a bias but really. "Buy the best, or Buy the rest" my Dad taught me this and I will stand by it.

Those are good looking shoes Mike. There are also some great looking shoes under 'specials', including the brown Plain Toe Blucher Flex Welt. I bought a pair and they are very soft and comfortable.

brown shoes are pretty versatile, you can wear them with all blue jeans, dark grey and navy pants, and more I suppose. I probably wouldn't wear them with black dress pants, black jeans... I dunno. CP's are very nice, brown is more a fall/winter color for sneakers IMO.

Those are terrible but those $425 made in america blucher boots look nice, especially when they inevitably go on sale for $150.

I find the chukkas frequently useful but have been on the lookout for serviceable chelseas for quite a while.

I have those in black and don't think they are the best jeans-choice They are actually a bit "fancier" in person.
