Agreed. They are very sleek for a chelsea and do better with trousers.

IMO, Park Avenues are fine to wear with jeans...once you've had them for a decade and worn them enough to have them looking a little ratty. Fresh out of the box, no thanks. Yesterday I wore an old pair of Edward Green brogued captoe bals with jeans (KMW 1950), but they look as great as they do with jeans because I didn't know how to take care of shoes for the first couple years I had them.

I like the JM Weston 180 with jeans, but those are likely out of your budget.

Lots of great suggestions. Alden 405's work well. IMO, the other Alden styles only really work in shell cordovan. Today I'm wearing my old special ordered Cigar shell Alden Norwegians (5EP Rockers).

Some people have also recommended this to you.

I think driving shoes are very versatile and look great in the office (casual Friday) and in the club. I purchased a pair of Prada (forgive me!) drivers a few months back and they are my favourite shoe when I need to go casual. Its in tan with pebble finished leather. It doesn't have any ostentatious branding too.

Try them, they look great in Jeans!

I bought this shoe on impulse and wonder if they might be appropriate to wear with jeans? The photo is a pretty true representation of the actual shoe color. I am actually at a loss what to pair these shoes with.

Bottom left are some cheapo Ted Baker's.

I prefer brown shoes to black as I always thought they portray more "character".
