Hello there,

I'm looking into a new Patek Phillippe. My budget is about £15k ($30k) and i'm interested in what you all would go for? i already have an idea which one I'm after but it's something i'll take time to decide

New, discrete, everyday style

Any perticuler style your looking for? Do you want a dress watch or casual watch. Mapping & Webb have an excellent selection of Patek Phillippe watches.

New or vintage? Pure dress, sport, or hybrid (like an annual calendar)?

Sorry, I forgot to mention.

It would be an everyday watch and nothing flashy. I like a simple/discrete style. I'm in mid 20s, so a young person's style too. I already have the 5800 and love this style..

just fell in love with $1mil worth of watch in the latest christies! :p

The 5146 is a good all-arounder. Annual calendar, a "modern" 39 mm size, can be dressed up or down.

They are both fine watches, but I think I am just too young for Gold of Rose Gold watches.

I tried this when i knew nothing about watches (I was even younger/ignorant) and bought a Rolex (I will never make this mistake again). It just doesn't look right. I still wear Jeans sometimes!

The latter costs less than the sales tax on the former.

How can someone be too young for rose gold?? If you got the cash to buy a Patek, you are not too young. Rose gold looks much better than platinum or gold IMO.

I'm a fan of Patek. This is a nice classic watch that can be had for about $15K:

My next Patek will definitely be a vintage one with the 27-460 movement, like this 3425:

Right now my favorite one is the Calatrava 5296 in white gold.

I like a lot of the vintage ones as well.
