are those junya jeans the ones that were like a size 50 tailored to fit someone of a 30-ish waist?

sorry not really feelin this one...maybe it's better in motion, i think something like YY denim would've worked better for a complete effect.

the thing about a lot of Junya menswear (and maybe some of the womens) is the concept sounds good in theory but the execution is often not very wearable. Or at least really hard to pull off.

the whole baggy-loose fit is hard to pull off unless you're really tall.

if fashion trends go full force in that direction it's going to lead to a lot of awful fits by those who don't have their own aesthetic and just adopt the next "new silhouette".

i think baggy looks best if there's a consistency of fluidity throughout the whole outfit...the thing is the top half looks kinda structured and its kinda holding back the bottom part from flowing with the whole thing, if that makes any sense. but yeah in particular its the jacket, might look better with just the tee, and imo would've gone with shoes that don't match the tee's color.

I think a fitted top with a baggy bottom can look great. sort of reminds me of a caricature of a sailor's look, in a good way. But I don't think any of asobu's pieces can live in harmony with each other.

It's like having a BBQ with bloods, crips and latin kings.

I just glanced through the last 60 or so pages and have come to the conclusion that jpgm is incredibly consistent. Each of his posts are great without being safe or boring.

kudos to you jpgm.

bobo, your glasses make me wish I too required glasses.

also there were far too few actual pictures in the last 60 pages. I don't have a camera, but why does it seem like no one else is posting?

The no new purchases threads are the cancer that is killing styleforum.
