Well the 501 cut has changed in shape over the years so the modern cut fits differently than, say, the classic '47 cut so it could be argued that a 501 can go out of style.

However with so many people wearing so many different styles these days it probably doesn't matter a great deal. Create your own style

I think the changes are quite subtle though. I see some people wearing the older ones and they still look fine.

I would take pictures of my pairs if they were anything special. Almost none of them get wear except my STF's which shrunk way too much.

I'm not sure, what do you suggest? as these are my first pair of dry jeans.

well my Skinners are my first pair of dry denim as well but I'm told if you put some spray starch on them after theyv'e softened up, they age better when they're more stiff because it forces more pronounced stress points.

I just starched mine for the second time and it seems to help, and you can get a can of spray starch for a buck so I figured it was a worthwhile investment.

Were orange tab levis(505,517). I saw a pair of orange tab 505's yesterday while thrifting that had faded quite uniquely, and had the faintest whiskers. It just sort of perked my interest... and i wondered if maybe i could find some deadstock 505's on ebay and save 50-60 when i decide to make a dry denim investment.

i was wondering how the levi's capital e hesher jean fits? is it a relaxed straight leg or a true straight leg? what would you compare it to in nudie, esewn or rag and bone?
