i think you can get frye at zappos. the consensus on the forum, with which i agree, is to give them a miss. the quality is ****, though i believe in the not too distant past they were a good made in the usa boot.

i'm currently looking to get the fiorentini + baker 745's, and the only place i can find them is at gimmeshoes (barney's seems to have only the black ones, which i don't need). does anyone know of any other web shops that stock them?

Those Frye boots do look surprisingly good. Frye was very good, MIA, a few years back but got overblown and sold out and now it made all over the place with not nearly the same construction. It's like the same story for almost every brand except the elite, elites.

richardwallace, the CP Officer Boots look more appealing, but it may be just the way the picture's taken

I;m still on the search for a slim combat boot. The Frye Brando and Commen Projects officer`s boots had become my favorites. The problem is that I can`t them find anyware avaiable in the right size or an "ok" price (the Commen Projects). So does anyone know, where I could buy these boots.
And I would be glad to, if anyone knows an alternative for me, to these nice boots, with similar high and shape. Further question: Does the Cp Officer boots run true to size? Thanks for help!

Hmm, I'm planning to get a moc toe Indy (natural chromexel). Reason why I go moc toe instead of plain toe is because I want to differentiate (beyond color) from my 1000 mile boots. The question is: will the seam darken and get nearly invisible with wear and care? Making a plain toe and moc toe almost indistinguishable in the end?

check out the new inaisce boots blackbird's stocking.

the soles look pretty lame, but you can probably find someone to throw on some rubber treads.
