You mean compared to other materials or compared to jackets? Cotton wears out faster than wool. The only wool trousers that wore quickly for me was a soft wool/cashmere blend. The rest outlive my desire to wear them.

If compared to jackets, then probably yes. But that is a long time horizon.

I always buy standalone trousers in heavier weights (12oz.+) and they last forever.

??? What on earth do you do to them? Trousers do not do that ordinarily.
