Stains on my suede desert boots

I sprayed these with some protection spray and after I wore them in the rain a few days after they appeared.

They are definitely not salt stains, but they sure do look like it anybody know how I can repair this?

Try using a pencil eraser and see if it will come out. I've used this trick on both of my pairs of MMM sneakers, and it worked well. Don't expect miracles, and you'll be in good shape. I have a couple pairs of heavily soiled suede shoes, and I'm going to try the eraser to see if I can get some life back into them (I had a pair of Alife Everybody mids in bright red suede, and that same night they got fucked up.

I tried google and its not being very helpful.

I tried the eraser trick, its not working :\\

just tried the sponging method

there are still a few stains but they are starting to look more like scuff marks which is ok, maybe i should invest in a brush

The link to the Leffot blog made me really want those shoes. Too bad I just bought a pair of leather chukkas or I'd be all over some suede.
