To celebrate my 50th birthday, friends took me to Wolf Trap last night to see Lucille in concert. She was appearing with her usual partner, B.B. King.
I had been planning to dress up for the event, but the heat and humidity were so bad it was almost too hot for clothing of any kind.
Lucille, of course, sang beautifully.
And this guy wasn't too bad, either. Eighty-four years old, but man, can he wail!
