I was sent the single in F in error, but it's my favourite of the Vass Monks now - curvy, classic and balanced.

The U lasts in this style look a little anorexic to me - the double in particular looks kind of underfed and reticulated, if you know what I mean. No lines or curves. And the double in F seems clunky - although my assessment is based on pics only.

Methinks it is because double monks should be made with the instep flap angled and never straight across the vamp. U last double monk looks the best in suede and with sharply angled flap (sort of like Lobb's double monk)

+1 .. JL Chapel: Vass U Dbl Monk :: Ferrari: Volvo. Pretty much everything else in U is stunning.
