NYC or Short Hills or Woodbury or the local Nordstroms.

Short Hills. I guess some people go to NYC, but I see more people going to NYC to find bargains than to do high end shopping.

Being wealthy doesnt mean that you care to spend a lot on clothes, but you probably have decent standards, so I guess it makes sense.

The type of people that would havve AmEx black cards are probably the type of people who would shop at Nordstroms. Both are status symbols more than anything else.

I suppose so, I sort of assumed that a good majority of them are small business people who put a lot of business expenses on their Amex, rather then say using a line of credit through a bank.

I think the number of existing Centurion Cards is grossly exaggerated.

From reading The Millionaire Next Door (excellent book), my first guess is that most actual rich people shop at Walmart, Home Depot and Goodwill.

The nouveau riche around here go the The Mall at Millennia to run up their credit cards on logo'ed up LV and Gucci... or Park Avenue in Winter Park for boutique shopping.
