Since it's a school assignment, I would suggest looking a bit further back in history for the best; I reckon ancient Greek schooling would be a far more interesting subject.

Otherwise, my vote goes to Oxford.

The fact that if a person gets into Harvard and another school, all other things being equal they will usually choose Harvard. That's why.

that would be result of the prestige, not really a factor giving it prestige.

Princeton University is a fine school, but it does not have a law school, so I don't understand your answer. Harvard, Yale and Cornell have the best law schools within Ivy League universities.

All the schools mentioned are just the Georgia State Universities of their general area.

That answers your question too.

Since you seem to be a bit hung up on Deep Springs, how about the fact that a high number of students who graduate from DS go on to Harvard to earn their AB degrees?

Deep Springs is an all-male, two-year college--it doesn't grant bachelor's degrees. While it offers a great opportunity for things like horseback riding, alfalfa farming and deep introspection (judging from my conversations with a good friend at university who went there before transfering in our junior year), it doesn't have the resources of a larger university.

i am not hung up on it, but people are simply saying harvard has most prestige, but they do nto give the factor that allow them to say it.

The graduates of ther school would give it prestige. I guess Harvard and Oxford are probably the most prestigious.

Its law school has many of its graduates that sat/sit on the US Supreme Court. Other alumni are partners of some of the most prestigious law firms in the country. The faculty has some of the best legal minds in the field.

The Business School has plenty of graduates that occuppy the CEO suite.

Bush and Obama both graduated from Harvard.

Oxford has its Rhodes Scholars and most of them have gone to public service and done good for society. Other graduates of the school have gone on to great things in the UK.
