I found a cat.

I found a cat outside. I was taking out my trash and it started crawling around (groveling) at my feet. I'm pretty sure it's not feral, but it doesn't have a collar.

I'm pretty sure it belongs to my neighbors since they usually have a cat in their window and it's not there anymore.

I left a note for my neighbors, and hopefully it belongs to them and they come pick it up.

My question for the SF is...what should I do with this cat in the meantime? I gave him a bowl of water, but he doesn't seem interested in it. Is there anything I should feed it? Anything that I shouldn't feed it?

Also, I think he peed on my floor. He's kind of cute though.

You're sure he's not just an outdoor cat? My neighbour's cat hangs around outside all day.

I'm not, but I've never seen him outside before.
I actually found him in a dumpster at the end of the street...so I kind of doubt it.

Love the tags!

That's a beautiful cat.

Give it dry cat food only at first - wet food might be too rich for it.

is it a him? anyway if you can't find the owner in a few days, you should probably take him to a vet to get a check up

OMG, he looks so soft!

I lost my cat of 15 years this Sunday, so these pictures are making me tear up.
