Does anyone know when Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme and Y's started using numbers instead of S/M/L for sizing references?

I'm just lookin at a jacket on Ebay liked it, but the seller claims its age is within 2 years but the size on the label says M... and I'm fairly certain YY started using the 1-2-3-4-5 system a while back. Anyone know since when?

Thank you.

He started using the number sizing system for spring/summer 2000, anything sized S-M-L is before then.
