If you can wait, something better than Hugo Boss will turn up.

That is anywhere from $100 and up depending on who you go to. sometimes they pull the fabric from the pants.

Not sure, but the $100 estimate sounds about right. They go by size ...

Take a look at this example I pulled from a French reweaving site:

http://www.thefrenchreweavers.com/calculator.htm

They salvage an extra piece of fabric from another part of the suit and sew it back into a square or rectangle exactly - thread by thread.

as for reweaving as an option, the tailor did inform me about it
however, he stated that 2 of the holes would cost $50 each
not worth it if i can purchase a new suit boss suit for 400

off topic:
since it has come to my attention that boss has a poor reputation on this site (whether it be due to poor quality, value, etc), are there any recommendations for brands that have similar fit (regardless of price)?
don't mind expanding my knowledge set on the whole suit scene

Finally I get to help someone else

Firstly, welcome to Style forum

Secondly, if you find that the sharp 2 was the perfect fit - that means your shoulders are likely a tad bit small, your a skinny waisted dude, with somewhat of a big chest for your stature.

Don't bother going through the million threads posted i'll give you the basic hierarchy in that fit

lowest in quality

H&M Slim fit
Club Monaco - Wright fit
Hugo Boss Jam/Sharp 2
Paul Stuart Byard
John Varvatos, skinny fit
Jil Sander tailormade
Dior Homme - Hedi Slimane

highest in quality

Do not settle for a crappy fit - if your spending above 400 of your well earned money - get something you love - take your time - use your resources - you'll find it here. Worst case scenario you can go with a made to measure service known as 'Thick as thieves'. Best of luck.

you described my stature perfectly (surprised my shoulders are considered to be narrow as it seems well proportioned to my body size)
thank you for your valuable input
any other brands?
i find some of the nordstrom products to fit well
forgot the style/line but it was roughly $800 and made of super 120 material

i checked the size but had no success finding a price quote
how much did you end up paying and how big was the hole?

the issue with the suit i had was that it was a two tone gray (dark/light weave pattern) which caused complications in the repair process

The hole I had was pretty small. Honestly, I had the suit repaired a couple years ago and can't recall how much I paid.
