Not in the winter, not (as VMan said) with dark shoes, and not with any of the tops pictured.

They are trying to combine a very casual element with a more formal get-up, which is hard to pull off correctly, especially given the age of some of the men. It is easier to do that sort of look with dark jeans, but difficult with white jeans, what with the connotations of the 1980's, or brunch at the Yacht Club. When done well, white jeans can look stunning. This usually requires the aesthetic of Hedi Slimane, Helmut Lang, Jil Sander, or Costume National. Dior Homme:

Jil Sander:

(I can't tell if these are cotton pants or jeans, but a similar look with white jeans and a cream jacket would certainly work)

I think the guy 2nd from left in the first photo is the only one it looks half-way good on - and they don't look pure white on him..

I had a pair of white Levis in the late 1980s. Never again.

Winter white is already in the runways for Fall/Winter 07-08. The Italians always seem to be ahead. I like it-- refreshing from all the black I've been seeing here in L.A.

I wear white jeans every once in a while. I also wear white or cream odd trousers quite often and feel there is nothing wrong with the look. Actually, it is one of my favorites for a casual outfit.

Maybe I`m in the minority on this one, but I also like the look of dark brown shoes with white pants. I think it brings out the rich tones in the shoes and has good balance with pants. White pants also look very good with more artsy colored shoes like blue, red, olive, etc.

07, 08, 09, 10 . . . or 2045 (If I am still alive and positng on SF) . . .

Ahead or not, I wouldn't wear them, regardless of what is on the runways . . .

Most of the stuff on the runwways these days is a big "no-no" for me . . . I must be getting old . . . .
