The old black calf leather strap on my vintage Omega has finally broken and I'm trying to find a new one only I clueless as to where to look. I'd really like a nice brown calf leather strap this time (with gold buckle). Any ideas where to find a good one? I'd like to find something of at least comparable quality to the old Omega strap.

I can highly recommend Bob Davis and his website mywatchmaker.net Bob has his watch related business and also is a avid watch collector and real old world gentleman to boot. Go to his website for some really nice high quality strap collection and very reasonable prices. Also, if you do business with him ask him to include those easy to install special lug pins he has for when you install the new strap.

In NYC a reliable source is the Central Watch Band Stand located in Grand Central Station between tracks 38 and 39. They have a decent selection of what you are looking for.

Another local resource is Watch Band World in Jericho, LI. They don't have a brick & mortar location, but shipping will be quick.

If you want a greater selection of more upscale and exotic bands, check out these on-line resources:

....and if you want bespoke, try Atelier du Bracelet Parisien @

I've ordered from all these places and recommend each.

On reading your post and feeling the love for Omega, I went and put this on.
