I'm thinking about watching a movie tonight. The choices are: Harlan County, USA--The Lives of Others--or something available on Netflix Online.

Make my decisions for me.

N00bz. You really think I haven't seen these two films?

I think you live those two films. Does it look like I care if you've seen them? SEE THEM AGAIN!

Harlan County is a classic. I only recently deleted it off the DVR to make some room.

If you like Ken Loach films, and I am guess you would or do, Riff Raff is his finest, imho.

Is Matewan about the Matewan Massacre? I can't imagine it being about anything else. McDowell County WV is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

Go with Harlan County USA.

Ken Loach is an idiot, but he makes decent films. The Wind that Shakes the Barley is haunting. I've heard good things about Hidden Agenda but I have not seen it.

Why do you say that?

I know nothing about the man, but he is one of the best film makers alive. Carla's Song, Riff Raff, Land and Freedom, Kes, Fatherland, Ladybird-Ladybird, Bread and Roses - all great.

His politics are absurd and silly.
