Most of the high-end bespoke stuff posted here seems to be G&G, with a little F&S and some Italian makers in the mix.

JL being the best known bespoke shoemaker (I'm not talking about JLP obviously), I'm wondering why not more people want to have this experience. Is it just because of the prize?

I know only of Fuuma having a pair of bespoke Oxfords from Lobb, the search turned up these beautiful images: http://www.styleforum.net/t/21739/john-lobb-bespoke-brogues-town-and-country and some dt-worthy stuff.

Thanks, I had clicked through that a while ago but had forgotten, how beautiful some of these shoes were.

I'd still like to hear stories about JL bespoke from members...

He said that? Then he must hate some of his most expensive shoes. But I'm not sure he'd sign that.
Sure, if someone came out of the closet.

'I can't stand english shoes but I don't like I-genting of Mitteleuropean makers either.'

Oh well JLP bespoke are french shoes not english shoes :)

I wear the Materna a lot, such a nice shape, very near the foot but sturdy sole.
