Hello, I just across this entry of yours, it's a bit late replying but in case it's any help. I have a similar pair which I bought way back in the mid 80s. They are lovely shoes and although mine are a bit cracked in the leather, they are very comfortable to wear. I got them from a clear-out sale from their main shop in Dover Street, London when they were closing down. As it happens I wear a 6E; if you happen to still have them and if you're not wearing them, I'd love to offer them a new (wearing) home! Please let me know. Thanks

I've just thrifted a pair of Alan McAfee "Dean" monk shoes.

Had been planning to flip them on eBay but they are a good fit on me so I might keep them.

Black polished / binder leather.

Not sure exactly how to date them

Can't decipher any of the writing inside.
I had thought it said size 9, but I wear a 7.5 and they are a good fit.
