I've found these stores quality are not very good.
What's the next level above these stores? (they must have kids clothes)

Specifically I want to get cardigans and shirts.

A step up would be banana republic, club monaco, french connection, or j. crew, although these brands aren't that great either in quality. I'm not sure if they carry kid's clothes.

Above that would be ralph lauren, which is a forum favorite and has decent quality products and a wide variety of lines. Brooks brothers is an option, but the clothes can seem conservative if you're used to shopping at h+m/zara/uniqlo.

Beyond that you're looking at individual labels probably.

And they really are significantly better in terms of quality?
I bought a thin brown sweater from Zara and it was wrecked after a single light handwash. Completely bobbled; unwearable.....

I'm from England.
