What would you do with heavily padded suits?

I have few Canali suits that have heavy shoulder and chest padding. Now that I am used to lightly padded suits, and I look better in them, I would like to know what I should do with Canali suits.

Sell them or give them away. If they do not look as good on you as the others, then there is no sense keeping them.

+1

If you really need a bad weather suit, keep one of them for that purpose

My first suit had/has heavily padded shoulders. Makes me look like I'm wearing football pads.

My immediate reaction is that I'd like to burn it. But I'll probably hand it down to one of my brothers. It would get him through various events for a few years until he realizes how bad it looks.

I don't think it makes a lot of sense to store items that you do not foresee wearing again for many years.

Someone with heavily sloped shoulders might look good in them, so don't destroy them.

You could give them to goodwill for a tax write-off and save yourself a lot of work, too.

other than selling it, your only other "real" option would be to get a tailor to remove/reduce that padding, as well as cut away that extra fabric left after pad removal.

Horrible idea. Few tailors can do this correctly, if at all.
