What Trousers With Navy Cord Jacket?

I'm looking at buying this navy cord jacket and wondered what trousers would go with it? I'm not always a big fan of jeans so that pretty much rules them out a lot of the time.

Well, denim would be perfect imho. Bummer.

As mentioned already, chinos and moleskines in almost every color: light and dark red, purple, beige, white; burnt orange would look nice I think.

Nice jacket. I think salmon chinos would look great. Or maybe even a pale yellow for the summer.

Or whatever you'd wear with with a fall/winter blazer.

I have a dark navy cord jacket that I usually wear with jeans but also with chinos. Here's an idea of it with chinos although the picture is horrible.

Wow what some great replies! Thanks to the previous poster as well for kindly presenting a photo for ideas. I think that looks great with those crisp chinos!
