What size of jackets to choose ?

Hello, I live in France (in Europe) and I would like to buy this jacket : http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatP...lor=Light-blue My size in Europe is 48 and I ask me if on this website of Brookbrothers what size i must choose : 48 or 38 ???? And short or regular or long ? On the picture, what do you see ? Thank you so much for your help...

I suspect you want a 38. As far as I know BB's website is based on US sizes. It should give you a size guide. If you are a standard EU 48, go with a 38R. If you're a 48C (I think it is C) then you're a 38S.

48 EU size also usually indicates whether L, R, or S. If it is just 48EU, assume it is 48R EU.

In that case, order from Brooks Brothers that jacket in 38R. It might be slightly longer and slightly less slim than you may expect, but any competent tailor can make alterations. I do not think the length will be a problem - plus or minus half an inch to an inch difference from what you are used to.

If i were you I'd give BB a jingle to see if they could give you measurements. As we all know, a certain size is not universal.

38, but be aware that the Madison cut is relatively full.

How tall are you? That would determine the short regular long question.
