Dude just signed up, posted an honest inquiry and has been nothing but polite, and has not said anything remotely douchey/stupid.

Sometimes this board needs to be more hospitable.

Perhaps you could put a small scrapbook together for her. Include photos of the 2 of you and maybe small mementos that mean something to you.

My buddy made me follow him around and take pictures of him doing random stuff (i.e. climbing a tree, pulling flower petals, jay-walking... you get the idea) He picked the best 12 photos and then he made his girlfriend a calendar (kinkos has a template).

Think about it. how many gifts last a full year?

hah. I thought I was the only one cheesy enough to do this. We take it full tech though - use instant online Netflix viewing.

It's a ***** getting it lined up perfectly though, so there isn't an echo on the skype call.
