1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

there's only so much make-up sex you can handle before you just wish you were in a relationship that didn't involve having to make-up so often.

Anyhow, sorry OP, slight hijack in progress there, but hope that what she did for me gives you some ideas. Budget an issue for you...well that cost her nothing.

    Wait, this might not work...

lol. damn you. when i read the thread title, that was my immediate response. I asked myself, how many posts it would take for someone to say it. Not many, apparently.

I was surprised it took so many. [IMG]

i married my caring but crazy SO. it's been 10 years and 3 kids and she is still fucking crazy.

most in love I have ever been by far. But she was crazy. That same next-level caring very easily morphed into next-level vitriole, and we fought like cat and dog. Unfortunate, but we just couldn't make it work. Distance of course worsened the situation, and eventually I just had to extricate myself. Couldn't take it anymore. Toughest breakup of my life, and I still miss her now.

Maybe something, you could do simultanously, even though you are on different continents.
Actually me and HK girl used to do this a lot. We would go to the DVD store, back and forth SMS til we found a movie we both wanted to see, then go home, put the movie on, get on Skype, "3,2,1 play" and watch it together.

this thread had too much sarcasm. It wasn't deserved.

Dude just signed up, posted an honest inquiry and has been nothing but polite, and has not said anything remotely douchey/stupid.

Sometimes this board needs to be more hospitable.

    +1

Perhaps you could put a small scrapbook together for her. Include photos of the 2 of you and maybe small mementos that mean something to you.

My buddy made me follow him around and take pictures of him doing random stuff (i.e. climbing a tree, pulling flower petals, jay-walking... you get the idea) He picked the best 12 photos and then he made his girlfriend a calendar (kinkos has a template).

Think about it. how many gifts last a full year?

Coopster, that is brilliant; I think I will do that (especially as I recently got a nice digital camera used online).

hah. I thought I was the only one cheesy enough to do this. We take it full tech though - use instant online Netflix viewing.

It's a bitch getting it lined up perfectly though, so there isn't an echo on the skype call.
