No headgear because we'd probably get carried away, so we just don't take head shots. We're the only two engineers in country at the moment so if one of us were to actually get hurt I'm pretty sure both our company and the client would absolutely lose their minds on us.

I'm wearing 16 oz gloves and my partner without a beard is wearing 14 oz gloves. I don't really know anything about boxing though, except that if we go for 3 minutes straight we both feel like we're going to keel over and die.

I entered this thread only one time, about 3.5 years ago, with a similar picture.
Today, me and my awesome beard boxed on the helideck of an oil rig, 40 miles offshore in west central Africa.

among Charlie Sheen's many pearls of wisdom was the idea that one doesn't pay 'em to shag, one pays 'em to leave afterward.

Sheen copped that line, I'm not quite sure from who but Johnny Carson or Jack Nicholson come to mind...maybe even George Burns?

yeah, seriously, you guys have to be careful not to get hurt. I hope that you are wearing mouth guards, at least. it is really easy to lose some teeth, even by accident, when you aren;t trying to hit each others faces.

On Friday I headed out with our Scouts on an overnighter in the snow at a place called Icehouse Reservoir up by Tahoe. We set up camp, cooked in dutch ovens, and managed not to freeze to death. I got to try out my new bivy sack--it worked pretty well.
