Thanks a lot. That seems to be it (although the smaller style Vincenzo wears in the movie seems much more manageable). Being a first-generation Italian, I'd like to know more about that style. If anyone knows the actual name of that tie, I'd appreciate it!

Glad to help a little, at least. Yes, Vicenzo's is probably the more realistic/authentic version and the ones in the photos are likely an exaggerated variety for the purposes of entertaining tourists, etc. If you're really curious about it all, try getting in touch with someone on the Sicilian Tourism Board, on whatever its equivalent is called. They can probably find the answer really quickly and tell you more about the tradtional costume's origins generally.
