I want a strong hold not crazy but strong enough so wind doesnt completely screw it up and just a strong hold with a matte finish. I was thinking american crew matte or forming cream. Any that you recommend?

HAHA **** that. fiber is weak as **** and not my ****. I have rather thick hair and got it thinned out. I want something to hold it strong have a matte finish and make it look good. Would wax be a good direction to go to? My friend about 5 years ago put this heavy **** in my hair and I couldn't get it out for a weak but I kinda liked it because it was very strong, matte and it will hold my style

Then why don't you call your friend from five years ago and find out what he put in your hair.

American crew citrus paste is by far one of the best hairstyling products I've used. It's really easy to apply (has a lotion type consistency), and gives a great matte finish without the shine. I've tried products in the past such as Baxter of California wax and water pomade, and the American Crew is far superior in ease of use and hold.

I also have the American Crew forming crew, but am not too fond of the smell and it doesn't work as well as the citrus paste.

Bumble and Bumble has a product called Sumotech that gives great hold and also allows for a matted finish, smells great too!

Murrays pomade and don't ever wash your hair. Not that it will come out anyway.
