Burger making and camera skills could use a lot of work but I thought this came out pretty well overall. Lamb kofta burger with harrisa mayo.

After having just spent a week in Japan, I have to agree with MGM’s assertion that there is simply no better place to go and eat amazing food. This is especially true if you like casual izakaya style food.

Did Justin Wilson's Cajun pot roast recipe on Sunday. Never actually cooked anything in a bag before, but came out great. Maybe next time I'll use less salt than him though. And the half hour YouTube video could have been about 10 minutes if he cut out all the dumbass Louisiana hound dog jokes.

Austrian goulash (Rindsgulasch). Saw this recipe on Milk Street TV the other day and had to make it. My mom used to make goulash similar to this a ton when I was growing up, but this is the first time I’ve ever made it, and probably the first time I’ve even had it in almost 20 years.
