Thanks for the reminder that my neighborhood liquor store is having a "smoke out" on Saturday!

So, after the above excitement, I drag my hung over ass to my nearby liquor store and what do you know no "smoke-out". Not one staff member knows what I am talking about even after I show them pictures of the flier. They did however have a complimentary tasting of some libations so I sampled some scotch and beers, then hauled ass to a market for a sandwich. It only took my graduate school educated mind another hour to realize the "smoke-out" was at a hardware store (makes sense since they were off loading grills and smokers) another mile or so up the road. Talk about embarrassing.

Lol. Reminds me of the friendly criticism I received when I was decorating food with petunias and flying saucers of radishes with cauliflower nipples.

It is not unconstructive to say it looks godawful (maybe just harsh), though I would agree it looks muddled.

These should, however, act as words of encouragement to reach for higher strata of culinary skillfulness.

But he/she stopped at godawful thus his/her criticism is ****. It wasn't friendly or helpful. He/she was trying to be mean.

Saying it appeared "English" was a diplomatic attempt to say it looked god awful. You did not want diplomacy and started to personally attack me for my (rare) attempt at diplomacy. You indicated to us your dislike of what you deemed passive aggression, and when another poster was helpful enough to address the plate in plain terms, you took great exception. My only conclusion is nothing less than adulation would be acceptable.

Add some garnishment, some color, some sides, etc. How does saying "English" or "godawful" help improve? I'm trying to improve my cooking and other lifestyle choices. There was only a snide insult with no recommendations unless my reading comprehension is bad.

A. I don't know what "English Cooking" looks or tastes like. I'm not English. I don't like passive-aggressive people; what's your point? Say it. Rather, articulate your point.

Btw, what was B?
